Vice President - Equity Research Industrial, Infrastructure & Utilities

As a Research Analyst at Citi, you will play a key role in contributing to the directional strategy of the business by staying abreast of developments in your field and providing advice related to technology or operations. Your responsibilities will include building financial models, writing research reports, conducting macroeconomic analysis on the global energy industry, and communicating team ideas to institutional investors. You will also be responsible for conducting due diligence, making investment recommendations, and interacting with institutional clients. Additionally, you will arrange company visits, attend industry conferences, track company events and earnings, and develop financial models and valuation techniques. Your role will have a significant impact on the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. In this role, you are expected to: - Have primary responsibility for a group of stocks in specific sectors - Be a self-starter with the ambition to progress your career within equity research - Conduct analysis, make investment recommendations, and interact with institutional clients - Arrange company visits and regular management contacts for due diligence purposes - Attend industry conferences, speak to industry contacts, and track company events and earnings - Develop financial models and valuation techniques - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions to safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets As a successful candidate, you ideally have: - 8-10 years of relevant experience - Ability to distill research into an investable thesis and write reports/notes - Experience in market ideas to internal constituents and clients, facilitating direct corporate access for investors, and providing independent (regulatory controlled) insights - Ability to secure and maintain applicable licenses Education: - Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred Citi provides programs and services for your physical and mental well-being, including access to telehealth options, health advocates, confidential counseling, and more.
