Identify appropriate application and implementation of controls and control methodologies to support the business achieve better risk and compliance outcomes.

Providing guidance and advice to senior leaders on their services and risk profiles to enable balanced decisioning that holds the customer outcome front and foremost.

Lead a proactive and progressive risk and control culture, collaborating with stakeholders and aligning to strategic outcomes and objectives.

Drive continuous improvements across the Technology CCO, our partners and business stakeholders to strengthen the end-to-end control environment, removing waste in process and increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

Support decisioning on control improvement opportunities using data to focus and prioritise activities.

Ensuring data quality is optimised through all aspects of the frameworks and lifecycle of the risk and control environment across the technology estate and the accurate reflection in Key systems.

Provide ongoing education to new and tech leaders and teams for current and changing risk and control practices as they evolve

Coordinate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment across trigger events for the Retail Technology profile to ensure accurate reflection and actions against the objectives.

Conduct thematic reviews and root cause analysis for issues and incidents as they arise ensuring accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.

Support the Retail Technology CCO team to achieve outcomes as required and support our CIO teams as needed.

Lead, coach and develop the chapter of technology risk and controls professionals, lifting craft consistency, proficiency and maturity through skills-led career pathways and on-the-job development.

Embed risk and control frameworks into everyday delivery – controls-by-design, clear control ownership and routine evidence – so risk management happens in the flow of change and run, not as a periodic overlay.

Drive safe modernisation and migration practice across major Retail and Bankwest programs (e.g. Cards Modernisation, CommSee 2.0, Cloud), ensuring controls are engineered in from the outset to enable speed to market delivered safely.

Champion the adoption of Technology CCO’s AI and automation capabilities (e.g. RCSA AI, CMRS Automation, ACAA assurance) to shift the chapter from manual, point-in-time assessment toward automated, real-time and data-driven risk insight.

Contribute to broader Technology CCO initiatives and cross-COE priorities, collaborating across chapters and lines of defence to achieve outcomes as one team.
