Job Title : Solution Sales Specialist/Application engineer/Product Marketing Specialist - Automation Experience : 7 to 10 Years Location : Chennai Qualification : B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Solution Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting regional sales teams by providing expert technical knowledge, designing tailored solutions, and engaging with clients to convey the value of our advanced automation and digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with PLC , SCADA , Industry 4.0 , IIOT , and wireless technologies . Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with regional sales engineers during pre-sales activities to understand client requirements and design customized technical solutions. Develop and present solution architectures using PLC, SCADA, IIoT platforms, and wireless technologies tailored to customer needs. Assist in preparing technical proposals, BoMs, and system designs in alignment with customer RFQs and specifications. Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops for customers. Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and deliverable. Stay updated on emerging trends in Industry 4.0 , smart manufacturing, and digital transformation to drive innovation in solution offerings. Support the sales cycle from lead qualification through solution delivery, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and company capabilities. Provide technical training and support to the sales team. Skills & Experience: 710 years of experience in Industrial automation solution building or sales. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC , SCADA systems , and IIOT frameworks . Familiarity with wireless communication technologies in industrial environments is an added advantage Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts including cloud integration, edge computing, and data analytics. Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming (IEC 61131, Python, C/C++, or scripting languages) is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders. Educational Qualification : Bacheller degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Instrumentation or equivalent Preferred Attributes: Certification in industrial automation or IIOT technologies is a plus. Experience in customer-facing roles such as technical sales, application engineering, or consulting. Ability to travel within the assigned region for customer meetings and solution rollouts.
