Veterinary Technician

Job Summary

The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to patients, ensuring smooth clinical operations and compassionate client service. This role involves handling animals, supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures, maintaining medical records, and upholding Crown Vet’s standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
• Safely restrain and handle animals to ensure their comfort and the safety of staff.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, feces, skin scrapings, etc.).
• Prepare animals and equipment for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests (X-rays, ultrasounds, lab work) under supervision.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Educate and guide pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of clinic areas, surgical suites, and equipment.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care as required.
• Support inventory management of medicines, vaccines, and clinical supplies.
• Comply with all Crown Vet clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Degree in Veterinary Technology, Veterinary Nursing, or related field.
• Prior experience in a veterinary clinic/hospital preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (for patient records and billing).
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per clinic schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
