As a Silicon Engineering Intern, you will design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for digital electronic devices and other digital electronic systems. You will define design architecture and operating parameters for circuitry and microelectronic components, as well as select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Analyzing designs and components to establish operating parameters and performance requirements to define complete pre-silicon verification test cases will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will develop test plans, direct support personnel or other engineers in the preparation and execution of design verification testing, and analyze data generated from test results to perform pre-silicon verification of operating parameters and performance requirements. As a CPU/Processor Verification Engineer at a well-known Product Company in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functional verification of processors. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating a deep understanding of complete processor pipeline stages and contributing to the verification process with your expertise. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in functional verification of processors, you will be expected to possess a good understanding of computer architecture, including Processor core design specifications, processor pipeline stages like Instruction Fetch, Branch Prediction, Dispatch, Load Store, and execution units. Your experience with high-frequency, instruction pipeline designs will be valuable in this role. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1 generation of Processor Core silicon bring-up experience and an in-depth understanding of industry microprocessor designs such as x86, ARM, or RISC-V processor designs. Exposure to system-level verification methodologies and techniques will be essential to ensure holistic verification coverage across multiple levels of design. Proficiency in C++, Python scripting, or similar object-oriented programming languages will be required for this role. Additionally, you should have knowledge of verification principles and coverage, test generation tools, and working with ISA reference models. Experience with translating ISA specifications to a test plan and understanding Agile development processes will be beneficial.
