Job Title: Senior Accountant – Jewellery Store Experience: 3+ years in accounting, preferably in retail or jewellery Location: Namakkal Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage financial operations for our jewellery store. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and reconciliation processes, with hands-on experience in Tally and other financial tools. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate accounting records including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports • Perform bank reconciliation on a regular basis to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements • Manage GST compliance, including filing returns, reconciling tax liabilities, and ensuring timely payments • Handle TDS calculations, deductions, and statutory filings as per government guidelines • Oversee inventory costing, stock valuation, and asset tracking • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities • Assist in audits and implement robust internal controls • Work closely with management to optimize financial processes and reduce risks • Use Tally, Excel, and other tools to maintain data, generate reports, and analyze trends Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Strong working knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, and bank reconciliation • Sound understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively • Self-driven and capable of handling deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred: • Experience in jewellery, retail, or inventory-driven businesses • Exposure to ERP systems and advanced Excel functionalities Perks: • Competitive salary and bonus • Career growth within a reputed jewellery brand • Professional and supportive workplace
