We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, data structures, databases, and modern frameworks, along with experience deploying solutions on AWS and managing CI/CD pipelines. What Will You Be Doing? Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring frameworks. Implement efficient algorithms and data structures for complex problem-solving. Integrate and manage relational databases (preferably RDS) with Java applications. Deploy and manage services on AWS infrastructure (EC2, SQS, RDS, etc.). Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar) for seamless delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions. Ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices. Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. What Makes You the Perfect Fit? Strong proficiency in Java and data structures/algorithms. Hands-on experience with Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.). Proficiency in working with databases (SQL, schema design, query optimization). Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, SQS, RDS, IAM, etc.). As a People & Business Partner, you’ll: Partner and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their strategic priorities and translate them into a robust people agenda. Lead talent and merit discussions, ensuring effective talent management and development within accounts. Work with management to identify talent gaps, succession planning, and workforce development strategies. Be a driving factor behind training and development and onboarding initiatives, ED&I initiatives and the annual performance and talent review processes. Leverage various engagement opportunities to recognize employees and foster a positive and "delightful" work environment. Deliver the overall employee value proposition to employees working with business and ER teams. Champion recognition and benefits programs. Identify and nominate employees for relevant training and development programs. Serve as the escalation point for employee concerns and manage complex relations issues. Advise managers on performance management processes, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting appraisals. Be the custodian for employee policies: work collaboratively with management for introduction of new policies and initiatives and modify existing ones. Own People Metrics, Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain dashboards on attrition, performance distribution, engagement, and diversity. Run monthly reads with leaders, forecast workforce risks, and turn data into action. Foster Continuous Improvement: Spot process bottlenecks across onboarding, performance, ER, and policy. Propose pragmatic fixes, pilot, measure impact, and scale what works. What Makes You the Perfect Fit? You bring: Experience: Around 2+ years partnering with business leaders (startup or matrix experience is a plus). People Advisory: Confident coaching style; skilled at handling sensitive ER matters with sound judgment and discretion. Analytics: Comfortable in Sheets/Excel and HRIS reporting; you can tell a crisp story with data and recommend actions. Comp & Performance: Working knowledge of levelling, offers, pay equity, and performance cycles; you push for fairness and clarity.
