Do you want to be part of the change? 🚀 About the role Our Commercial Sales function is central to the future growth and revenue of the company. This means that as Commercial Director - West Asia, you will be responsible for the sales of Velocys’ technology and services to third parties within your assigned region covering the subcontinent, Middle East, Thailand and Vietnam to name a few. Such sales require a high degree of partnership and collaboration, both internally and externally, and the foundations formed through several years of experience in the field. From judging the probability of us being selected by a client, the overall project success and the likely timescales, through to collaborating with colleagues to determine resources including engineering expertise, the role is both challenging and exciting in equal parts. Reporting directly into the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be a strong influencer for our external market presence and work with a wide range of stakeholders, including potential customers, Partners and industries – you are important! 🧬 You, in a nutshell There are some must-have’s for this role: You're based in West Asia; India is ideal! You’re able to interact and engage across multiple functions to bring people together – collaboration is key. 🧩What your week might look like (with a few plot twists) As our Commercial Director, you could: Focus on sales activities such as: Develop sales prospects and manage client relationships from initial contact through stages of qualification, opportunity development, contracting negotiations, at all stages of a client project, typically lasting several years. Build on your knowledge of the SAF and environmental credit markets; keeping a watching brief on competition and continuously seek opportunities to improve Velocys’ competitiveness. Represent the Company externally in a wide variety of situations, including conferences and events that support the business objectives. Provide commercial support to Velocys-led projects and other negotiations where required. Enhance our market value: By generating new leads and building our sales pipeline. Manage our customers: By working across our customer organisations to build conducive relationships and understanding customer buying behaviours and contractual requirements for closure. Manage contracts: Use your understanding of applicable legal terms and conditions to participate, and where applicable, lead Customer negotiations for timely and amicable closure on sales contracts. Prepare, negotiate and manage complex contracts. Build our strategy: By working with our leadership team to devise and provide inputs to each opportunity to place Velocys’ offering for a win. Manage our CRM system: By adding regular updates onto our CRM system, HubSpot, for all opportunities forecasted along with correct pricing to ensure all approvals are in place. Manage proposals: By providing support to developing opportunities in response to RFQ and client requirements, driving customer satisfaction and repeat business. Build your already strong professional network: By networking within the industry and various stakeholders.
