As a Crowd Artist, you will play a crucial role in developing crowd motion for high-end VFX projects, focusing on simulation for planning and previz purposes. Your primary responsibilities will include creating digital crowd behaviors and simulations to bring to life the envisioned look, movement, and style as directed by the Director and production team. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with VFX/CG Supervisors and Producers to efficiently integrate crowd pipeline tools and techniques. Maintaining open communication with artists, leads, production, and supervisors regarding schedules, deadlines, and feedback on shots and sequences is essential. Additionally, your attendance at relevant meetings to contribute creative approaches and solutions for specific shots will be expected. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or possess equivalent experience. You must have between two (2) to five (5) years of experience in crowd/motion work within the live-action feature film or TV industry. Proficiency in Golaem, Maya, and Python is a must, while experience with Houdini Crowds, KineFX, and Vellum is advantageous. Any additional skills in rigging, animation, lookdev, or mocap retargeting in Maya or MotionBuilder will be considered a plus.
