Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated VHDL and Xilinx FPGA Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of Hands on experience in FPGA development. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in VHDL coding, Xilinx FPGA design tools (Vivado), and experience in digital logic design, verification, and hardware implementation. This role involves designing, developing, and testing FPGA solutions for a wide range of applications, including communications, signal processing, and embedded systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, implement, and verify FPGA based systems using VHDL on Xilinx FPGAs. 2. Develop, simulate, and validate VHDL code for various hardware modules and subsystems. 3. Collaborate with the engineering team to define system architecture, interface requirements, and design specifications. 4. Perform synthesis, place and route, and timing closure using Xilinx Vivado/ISE design tools. 5. Conduct functional simulation and verification using tools such as Model Sim/Questa Sim. 6. Optimize FPGA designs for performance, area, and power consumption, while meeting timing and resource constraints. 7. Work closely with hardware engineers for integration, testing, and validation of FPGA designs on development kits or custom hardware. 8. Support the development of test benches for system level and unit level verification. 9. Troubleshoot and resolve FPGA design issues using debugging tools like Chip Scope/Signal Tap. 10. Provide technical documentation for VHDL modules, verification plans, and testing procedures. 11. Stay UpToDate with the latest FPGA technologies, tools, and industry trends. Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum 2 years of experience in FPGA design using VHDL and Xilinx FPGA tools (Vivado). 3. Strong understanding of digital logic design, FPGA architecture, and synchronous /asynchronous design principles. 4. Experience with simulation tools (Model Sim, Questa Sim) and development of test benches. 5. Handson experience with Xilinx FPGAs (e.g., Kintex, Virtex, Artix, Zynq) and familiarity with Xilinx IP cores. 6. Knowledge of timing analysis, synthesis, and FPGA resource optimization. 7. Ability to perform hardware debugging and troubleshooting using FPGA debugging tools like chip Scope or similar. 8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with embedded systems and SOM based FPGA designs (e.g., Zynq SoC). 2. Familiarity with system level design using AXI interface and other industry standard protocols e.g., SPI, UART, Ethernet). 3. Knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systems design and integration. 4. Experience with board level testing and debugging, including using oscilloscopes and logic analysers. 5. Familiarity with version control systems like GIT. Key Skills: 1. VHDL Programming 2.
