As a VMware Admin Lead with 5-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service desk. Your role will involve managing various VMware-related tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of the VMware Infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include migrating VMs using VMotion, performing snapshots, cloning, cold migrations, and hot migrations. You will be managing VCenter Servers and ESXi hosts version 7.0, creating and increasing CPU, RAM, and disk for virtual machines based on client requests, and monitoring performance for ESX Servers, vCenter Servers, and VMs. Additionally, you will be responsible for exporting and importing VMs from one VCenter to another, creating and managing virtual machines and templates, and monitoring VMware Infrastructure components such as CPU, memory, disks, and networks. In this role, you will also be required to maintain and manage ESXi servers via vSphere client and web-client, perform patch management using VMware Life Cycle Manager for VCenter Servers and ESXi servers, troubleshoot problems with the help of event logs, and manage data store volumes while working with the storage team for new storage volume configurations. The qualifications we seek in you for this role include a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, along with good communication skills. Additionally, preferred qualifications/skills include strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL practices, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
