Job Description Vehicle Testing, Performance Evaluation, Application and Calibration of control algorithms in software for Active Safety system. Working on a variety of technologies for different vehicle types (ICE, HEV & EV) and supporting the development of Driver Assistance Systems Understand and analyze customer's performance & controller requirements. Conduct Vehicle tests in summer and winter sessions and calibrate system performance per Bosch, Customer's and legal requirements. Trouble-shooting in vehicle for hardware, software & DAQ during development. Interface with customer to provide technical support Follow company development and quality processes Support other group/department in project acquisition and technical activities Experience/Know how in conducting vehicle tests. ( Eg. Brake tests, Lane changes on different test surfaces) Understanding of ABS/ESP, Homologation testing as per regulations. Good know how of Vehicle dynamics. Good driving skills & ability to judge vehicle behavior & system impact on vehicle behavior. Good analytical and logical reasoning. Strong social skills - active listening, relationship management, effective communication, engagement with team members & client. Understanding of programming language C, Matlab, Simulink. Hands-on with DAQ (Data acquisition systems). Vbox, Vector tools, data loggers, sensors & SW programming tools. General awareness of automotive industry -current trends/affairs. Testing experience on ABS and ESP system preferred. Experience in hydraulic brake system with understanding of brake system calculation and foundation brake sizing preferred Qualifications Engineering graduate/Post Graduate with 1-2 years of experience in Automotive Domain. Experience in hydraulic brake system with understanding of brake system calculation and foundation brake sizing preferred Experience in tyre, suspension tuning with hands on dynamic vehicle testing experience. General awareness of automotive industry current trends/affairs. Additional Information The person should be travel to multiple places to Sweden, Australia, New Zealand. Should have passion for driving work with high technology for braking system. Experience/Know how in conducting vehicle tests. ( Eg . As a Technical Support - Performance Engineer at Hero Motocorp in Jaipur, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and execution of vehicle tests. You will ensure timely and efficient completion of test activities, data processing, and vehicle assembly/dismantling. Your key duties will include supporting vehicle preparation, accurate data collection during tests, processing raw data for analysis, and maintaining test instruments and equipment. Additionally, you will provide support for organizational initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives. In a typical day, you will be involved in vehicle assembly and dismantling for test activities, monitoring parts assembly as per standard operating procedures (SOPs), learning about the objective of each part to enhance test output, and identifying different test cases to prepare a complete test plan. You will arrange test instruments on the vehicle according to test requirements, perform tests as a rider, and monitor instrument readings and vehicle performance. Good riding skills are essential to conduct test activities as per SOPs, particularly for worst riding condition tests. To qualify for this role, you should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering with relevant experience. Technical skills required include performance testing, data acquisition using data loggers, subjective evaluation of vehicle driveability, performance benchmarking of competitors, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. You should also be proficient in identifying and troubleshooting vehicle-related problems and collecting and monitoring test data using DAQ systems and sensors. In terms of behavioral skills, you should demonstrate safety awareness for physically demanding tasks, technical awareness with good riding skills and a safety mindset, understanding of new testing tools and instrumentation, and continuous learning to stay up to date with new testing methodologies and instruments. Other desired competencies include experience in the automobile industry, subjective vehicle evaluation skills, willingness to work in the field and on vehicles independently, and hands-on experience in two-wheeler testing.
