VAT - GST Compliance - Staff

Role Overview: As an Advanced Tax Analyst in the GDS Indirect Tax Center at EY, your main focus will be on the preparation of projects and services related to Indirect Tax/VAT. You will be responsible for preparing indirect tax returns, demonstrating a sound understanding of basic tax concepts, multitasking on various tax projects, proposing process improvement ideas, and delivering high-quality and timely services efficiently while ensuring compliance with Ernst & Young procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare indirect tax returns and file them using the country-specific filing tool (applicable to GDS only). - Increase tax knowledge through client assignments and stay updated on current tax developments. - Work on multiple tax projects simultaneously and undergo cross-training. - Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. - Provide high-quality and timely services while complying with Ernst & Young compliance procedures. Qualifications Required: - Graduates/Postgraduates preferably in Commerce. - 0-2 years of experience, preferably in an Accounting/Tax field. - Proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of other MS Office and web-based applications. - Basic understanding of ERP systems.
