Vastramay, one of India’s most dynamic ethnic wear brands, is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our B2B partnerships, Shop-in-Shop (SIS) rollouts, and Gift Card sales. This is a field-intensive role for someone who’s as comfortable in boardrooms as they are on the shop floor or out meeting retail partners face-to-face. 🔑 What You’ll Do: · B2B Development · - Identify and onboard institutional clients, distributors, and large-format retailers. · - Drive outreach, relationship-building, and revenue generation from B2B channels. · - Visit partner locations regularly to strengthen engagement and resolve operational issues. · Shop-in-Shop Expansion · - Lead SIS placements with premium retail chains (Shoppers Stop, Central, etc.). · - Travel to multiple cities for site visits, negotiations, and store activations. · - Manage store-level operations, visual merchandising, and staff coordination. · Gift Card Sales · - Build and grow our Gift Card program through corporate tie-ups and online platforms. · - Pitch and close deals with HR departments, fintechs, and gifting platforms. · - Drive promotions for festive, wedding, and seasonal campaigns. · On-Ground Execution · - Be ready to hit the streets—visit stores, partners, and prospects regularly. · - Roll up your sleeves to troubleshoot, pitch, and make real-time decisions. · - Represent Vastramay with energy, professionalism, and ownership. ✅ Who You Are: · - 4–7 years in business development or sales (preferably fashion, retail, or gifting ecosystem). · - Ready to travel extensively across cities—must be mobile and field-focused. · - Confident in face-to-face meetings, cold visits, and client relationship management. · - Strong communicator with great follow-through and hustle mentality. · - Fluent in English and Hindi; regional languages are a plus. ✨ Why Vastramay? · - Be part of a bold, high-growth brand redefining Indian ethnic wear. · - Take ownership of initiatives that directly impact growth and visibility. · - Enjoy a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment that rewards action. Job Title: Company Secretary (Apparel & E-commerce) Company: Vastramay Location: Kolkata Reporting To: Managing Director Job Overview: At Vastramay, we’re blending Indian tradition with modern scale. As we expand offline and prepare for investment opportunities, we’re looking for a Company Secretary who can be the legal and compliance backbone of our growth story. This is a key role that goes beyond statutory filings — helping build governance structures, support investor readiness, and keep the business future-ready. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee team of accountants · Act as an internal auditor for the accounts team · Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and industry-specific regulations · Maintain statutory registers, records, and filings (ROC, MCA, etc.) · Draft board meeting notices, agendas, resolutions, and minutes · Liaise with legal, audit, and regulatory authorities · Assist in creating ESOP policies, investor documentation, and due diligence materials · Advise leadership on corporate governance, legal risk, and structural decisions · Manage secretarial audits and ensure timely statutory disclosures · Review NDAs, vendor agreements, and collaboration contracts · Coordinate with finance and legal teams for holistic compliance planning Preferred Experience: · 2–4 years post-qualification experience (preferably in D2C, e-commerce, or apparel sector) · Experience with board management, investor documents, ESOP structuring · Exposure to startup legal frameworks, funding processes, or internal audits Key Skills: · Strong understanding of Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, and compliance processes · Drafting, communication, and documentation expertise · Ability to manage stakeholder communication (legal, audit, board, investors) · Familiarity with MCA portal, ROC tools, and Excel · Business-first mindset to translate law into practical systems · Knowledge about Personal, HUF and Trust files Bonus (Nice to Have): · CA intermediate, M.Com · Prior experience in an apparel/D2C brand · Worked on legal docs for VC/PE deals · Knowledge of IP protection, retail contracts, or sustainability compliance What We Offer: · Direct exposure to board-level strategy and decision-making · A growing brand with offline retail ambitions and investor interest · A collaborative, founder-driven work environment · CTC aligned with experience + performance-linked bonuses Interested?
