Complete technical know-how of Varnishing process parameters and ability to independantly handle customer audits / documentstions. Varnishing Line Operations Monitor and ensure smooth functioning of the varnishing line, including deburring machine, re-varnishing machine, and continuous furnace/oven. Ensure process parameters are followed as per standard work instructions (SWIs) and quality assurance plans (QAPs). Identify bottlenecks and resolve operational issues in varnishing, curing, and handling. Optimize process parameters to maintain quality and efficiency. Plan daily production schedules and ensure production targets are met. Stock Monitoring & Inventory Control Monitor stocks of varnish and other essential materials. Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely replenishment of varnish stock. Maintain records of varnish consumption and optimize usage to reduce waste. Quality Control & Inspection Supervise in-process and final inspections for surface finish, coating thickness, and adhesion properties. Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards. Address non-conformities and take corrective/preventive actions. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment. Customer Inspections & Qualifications Handle customer inspections and qualification audits. Ensure varnishing process meets customer-specific requirements. Coordinate with quality and production teams for sample approvals and pre-dispatch inspections (PDI). Maintain documentation for customer audits and approvals. Export Documentation & Compliance Ensure compliance with export quality documentation and process certifications. Prepare necessary quality reports and certificates for export shipments. Work with logistics and quality teams to ensure export-ready packaging and inspection. Special Process Control & Documentation Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for varnishing line operations. Prepare and update Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) checklists. Conduct internal audits using special process audit checklists. Cost Reduction & Process Optimization Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives for varnishing operations. Optimize varnish consumption and reduce rework/rejections. Improve process efficiency through lean manufacturing techniques. Monitor energy and resource utilization to minimize costs. Data Capture & Analysis Record daily production and quality parameters. Analyze varnishing process data to identify trends and potential improvements. Implement corrective and preventive actions based on data insights. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the varnishing line. Daily Reviews & Customer Engagement Conduct daily reviews with marketing and production teams on order status and deliveries. Participate in customer visits and discussions related to varnishing processes. Gather customer feedback and implement improvements based on inputs. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration Monitor equipment health and ensure scheduled maintenance. Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs. Ensure proper functioning of heating elements, conveyors, and varnishing spray systems. Check calibration status of measuring and inspection tools. Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to workplace safety guidelines. Monitor exhaust systems and ventilation to prevent exposure to hazardous fumes. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for varnishing processes. Ensure PPE compliance among operators and maintenance teams. Training & Team Management Conduct daily briefings with the varnishing line team. Provide technical guidance to operators and supervisors. Identify skill gaps and plan training programs for process improvements. Ensure adherence to shift schedules and production targets.

Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture. Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers. Responsible for maintaining property color scheme specifications. Responsible for maintaining and matching shades of particular areas. Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats. Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting. Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs. Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas. Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury. Coordinate with the vendor to modify the colors of paint, stain, or varnish. Take care of the area when the front-of-the-house area-painting job is being carried out. Always place the ‘Men at work’ signboard when working in public areas or guest rooms. Take rounds of the restaurant and other public areas respectively in charge and perform paint/polish mark. Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks. Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel. Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required.
