As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing key accounting operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. Your expertise in accounting principles, proactive problem-solving approach, and ability to mentor junior team members will be essential for success in this position. You will work collaboratively across departments to ensure the financial health of the organization. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing accurate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You will be responsible for conducting month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and managing tax filings to ensure compliance with VAT, GST, and corporate tax returns. Conducting variance analyses, developing internal control procedures, and coordinating with external auditors during audits are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, monitor compliance with accounting standards, and provide guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred. You should have at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Tally, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, is required. A strong understanding of accounting standards, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating within a team are essential. You should have strong attention to detail, be able to meet strict deadlines, and possess exceptional communication and leadership skills.
