Job Title: Purchase Manager – Die Casting Industry Location: Ambattur, Chennai Experience: 3-8 Years Industry: Die Casting / Manufacturing Job Type: Full-time Job Description: We are looking for a Purchase Manager with experience in the die casting industry to manage procurement activities, vendor development, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of raw materials, machine components, and consumables required for die casting operations. Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Vendor Management: Identify and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials, tools, and machinery. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-effective procurement. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines. Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted production by maintaining optimal stock. Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements. Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with the production and quality teams to ensure material requirements are met. Generate reports on purchase costs, vendor performance, and inventory status. Requirements: ✅ 3-8 years of experience in purchase and supply chain management within the die casting / manufacturing industry. ✅ Strong knowledge of raw materials, consumables, and machinery used in die casting. ✅ Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. ✅ Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel for procurement management. ✅ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management / Mechanical Engineering / Business Administration or a related field. * Experience in cost reduction strategies and inventory control . * Location: Ambattur, Chennai (Candidates residing nearby preferred) * Salary: As per industry standards Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month Benefits: Provident Fund Work Location: In person
