As a member of the Benefit Street Partners - Alcentra team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of the private asset valuation process. Your role as a Valuation Operations Manager will involve supporting the monthly and quarterly valuation processes by liaising with 3rd party valuation firms, investment teams, finance teams, and auditors. Your ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines will be crucial as you focus on Private Debt, Distressed, Special Situations investments, and CLOs. You will collaborate with colleagues across various departments and report to a VP of Finance based in the Boston office. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Facilitating monthly and quarterly Valuation Processes for a variety of credit strategies and asset types - Recruiting, training, managing, and developing a Valuation Operations team - Managing the population of assets for valuation and communicating effectively with the global team - Designing efficient valuation workflows with an initial focus on Special Situations and Structured Credit pricing - Leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to streamline workflows - Supporting the creation of summary materials for valuation committees and preparing documentation for compliance with external audit requirements The ideal candidate for this role will possess: - 4-6 years of experience in financial services, preferably with credit experience - Experience with leveraged loans, CLOs, and leverage facilities preferred - Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively across different departments - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proven record of project management - Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including leveraging technology for process optimization - Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and facilitate valuation processes across diverse investments This full-time position will require you to work from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
