This Role would ensure the products are tested as per standards/ WI, Supervise the staff, adhere to sequence of tests, analyze the results, as well as identifying the issues if any Make Validation protocols w.r.t equipment WI, SOPs, Test plans & procedures as per BIS/ internal test standards across all product categories. Compile and approve the test results basis acceptance/ rejection criteria and report to immediate senior. Keep end to end track (from receipt to disposition) of products being shortlisted for validation, ensure adherence to proper sequence of testing, keep records. Develop & Execute test plans as per standards. Study the data gathered during testing and evaluate. Identify issues if any during validations and analyze the same. Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of validation lab by keeping in touch with the standards ( modifications / updation, etc.) and propose latest equipment/ instruments, etc. Report test results and conformance/ non conformance to stakeholders. Provide training and support to testing teams to optimize the usage of equipments, instruments and processes. Experience Required 15-20 years of experience in Testing, Validation as per BIS/ BEE standards especially in consumer durable industry. Strong knowledge of National as well as international standards Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Good communication and project management skills. This involves understanding the product requirements, standards, and customer expectations. Test Case Design: Create test cases and test procedures based on the product's functional and performance requirements. These should cover various scenarios and use cases to ensure thorough testing. Test Execution: Conduct testing, which may include functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, and interoperability testing. Ensure that the relays/IEDs perform as expected under different conditions. Compliance Testing: Ensure that the relays/IEDs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as IEC 61850, IEEE, IEC and others. Perform tests to validate compliance. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test results, procedures, and test configurations. Document any issues and their resolutions.
