The Product Writer / Editor is responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing compelling, accurate, and user-centric content that clearly communicates product value, features, and usability. This includes product descriptions, feature pages, release notes, user guides, help documentation, onboarding materials, and marketing content. The role requires close collaboration with product managers, designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure the product's voice is consistent, engaging, and aligned with the brand. Role & responsibilities Product Content Creation Write clear, concise, and accurate content for product pages, in-app UI, tooltips, release notes, and feature highlights 2. Editing & Quality Control Edit and proofread content for tone, grammar, accuracy, and brand consistency. 3. User Documentation Develop and maintain user guides, how-tos, FAQs, knowledge base articles. 4. Collaboration with Product & Design Work with cross-functional teams to understand features, value propositions, and product flows 5. Content Optimization & UX Writing Apply UX writing best practices to improve user understanding, conversion, and retention. 6. Content Style Guide Adherence Ensure all content follows internal style guides and tone of voice. 7.Content Localization Support Coordinate with translators or local teams for multilingual content (if applicable). Preferred candidate profile Exceptional Writing & Editing: Mastery of grammar, clarity, brevity, and storytelling. Product Thinking: Ability to understand and communicate complex product features simply. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with developers, designers, and PMs. UX Awareness: Understanding of how users interact with digital products. Attention to Detail: High accuracy and quality standards for all deliverables. Adaptability: Can shift between different tones and formats based on audience needs. Project Management: Ability to prioritize, plan, and deliver content on schedule. Analytical Mindset: Able to evaluate content performance and iterate accordingly.
