You are a skilled and detail-oriented Laser / Large Format Printing Machine Operator who will be operating and maintaining high-performance laser and wide-format printing machines. Your responsibilities will include preparing materials, managing print jobs, performing regular machine maintenance, and ensuring print quality meets the highest standards. You will be operating laser engraving and large-format printing machines such as UV, solvent, eco-solvent, or latex printers. Setting up printing files, materials, and machine parameters for each job, monitoring the printing process to ensure color accuracy, alignment, and resolution, performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on printing equipment are some of your key responsibilities. Collaborating with the design team to ensure artwork is print-ready, handling various substrates such as vinyl, fabric, acrylic, foam board, and more, inspecting finished products for quality, consistency, and completeness, maintaining inventory of printing supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, keeping the work area clean and organized will also be crucial. SB eCommerce is currently seeking a Color Profiling Specialist to ensure absolute print color fidelity across all SKUs and printing technologies. As a Color Profile Expert, your main responsibility will be to achieve accurate, consistent, and repeatable color results across UV, sublimation, and digital printing systems. You will collaborate closely with production, design, and QA teams to create ICC profiles, calibrate printers, and minimize color mismatches. Your core responsibilities will include creating and managing custom ICC profiles for various substrates, printers, and ink sets, utilizing X-Rite tools, spectrophotometers, and calibration software for color matching, standardizing output across UV printers, sublimation units, and inkjet workflows, performing regular device calibration and linearization, establishing a repeatable system for color consistency across batches and shifts, collaborating with the artwork and design team to ensure color-correct files for production, developing internal color SOPs, and training documentation for operators, as well as conducting test prints and print audits across material types such as TPU, PC, EVA, etc. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-6 years of experience in color profiling or print color management. Proficiency with X-Rite i1, i1Profiler, ColorChecker, and spectrophotometer devices is essential. A deep understanding of ICC profiles, RIP software (such as Onyx, Caldera), and CMYK color workflows is required. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of substrate behavior and ink absorption for phone cases and tech accessories, along with experience across UV, sublimation, and pigment/solvent-based printers.
