As an integral part of Exide Energy Solutions Limited, your role will involve mechanical parts inspection during shift hours, encompassing a variety of components like sheet metal, rubber, plastic, and fasteners. You will also be responsible for conducting joint inspections at supplier premises for critical initial samples and performing root cause analysis for any part quality issues that may arise. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving these issues using the 8D Methodology and liaising with suppliers to implement corrective actions promptly. Additionally, you will play a key role in raising quality concerns and collaborating with suppliers to ensure smooth production processes by addressing line rejection issues effectively. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), along with working knowledge of the Quality Management (QM) module in SAP. Proficiency in handling various measuring equipment such as multimeters, vernier calipers, height gauges, plating testers, and Universal Testing Machines (UTM) is essential. Your familiarity with quality documentation and basic Quality Control (QC) tools will be instrumental in carrying out your responsibilities effectively. While the mandatory skills outlined above are essential, the following desired skills are advantageous for this role. You should be able to understand and communicate proficiently in English and have basic knowledge of MS Office applications. With a minimum of 3-10 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics (BE/B.Tech) is the desired qualification for this position.
