Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Utility Operations & Maintenance:

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on utility equipment such as:

Boilers (steam generation systems)
Air compressors
Chillers and HVAC systems
Cooling towers
Pumps and motors
Water treatment (RO, DM, Softener plants)
Effluent and Sewage Treatment Plants (ETP/STP)

Monitor utility performance and ensure optimal operation with minimal downtime.
Maintain operating logs, checklists, and equipment history records.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs during equipment breakdowns.
Maintain spares inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
Liaise with external vendors or OEMs for major repairs or service contracts.

3. Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure utilities are operated in compliance with environmental and safety regulations (e.g., GPCB, CPCB, Boiler Act).
Maintain documentation for audits including ISO, GMP, or internal quality systems.
Support energy audits and implement energy-saving initiatives.

4. Safety & Best Practices:

Follow and promote plant safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and equipment failures.
Conduct safety inspections and support permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
