Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Supervision Supervise daily maintenance activities of mechanical equipment like pumps, blowers, gearboxes, valves, agitators, and heat exchangers . Coordinate with technicians for troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns to minimize plant downtime. Ensure availability of tools, spares, and maintenance records. Utility Equipment Operation & Maintenance Monitor and maintain utilities such as: Boilers Cooling Towers Chillers Air Compressors Water Treatment Systems (RO/Softener/DM) Maintain logs for utility equipment and ensure efficiency and preventive upkeep. Preventive Maintenance & Reporting Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and update maintenance checklists. Keep proper documentation of maintenance jobs, spares used, and performance logs. Report daily activities to the Maintenance Engineer or Manager. Safety & Compliance Ensure all mechanical work is carried out following safety guidelines and plant SOPs . Participate in safety audits, shutdown planning , and utility inspections. Monitor contractor work during mechanical jobs and ensure proper safety practices. Required Skills & Knowledge: Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment used in chemical plants . Basic understanding of piping systems, utility layouts, and mechanical drawings . Ability to lead a team of fitters, welders, and helpers. Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skills. Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning, spare part management , and shift reporting.
