We are seeking a highly driven and visionary Co-Founder with a deep background in operating systems and systems architecture to join our founding team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the architectural design and core development of ShaktiOS, starting from the ground up. Your success in this position hinges on the creation of a secure, modular, and scalable operating system that seamlessly integrates with AI systems, while providing users with a smooth and intuitive experience. Our mission is crystal clear: we are dedicated to disrupting the dominance of foreign operating systems in India, ensuring that our data, expenditures, and innovations remain within the country. As a Co-Founder, your key responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and constructing the foundational elements of ShaktiOS, encompassing kernel-level systems and user-space modules. You will collaborate with the team on product vision, technical roadmaps, and development milestones. Additionally, you will evaluate and select essential tools, frameworks, and system-level dependencies, focusing on optimizing performance, memory management, and real-time AI interactions. Establishing best practices for secure, maintainable, and scalable OS development will also be within your purview. You will oversee development pipelines, testing strategies, and continuous integration efforts, along with contributing to fundraising, community-building, and technical hiring initiatives. Qualifications for this role do not necessitate formal degrees; rather, we are seeking individuals who possess a strong passion for our mission. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in operating systems (Unix/Linux/BSD/Windows internals), system calls, process management, and memory allocation. Proficiency in low-level programming languages such as C/C++ and Rust will be advantageous. This position is offered as a co-founder role, with equity as part of the compensation package.
