As a Database Sr. Engineer at CBRE, you will collaborate with developers, D&T staff, and end-users to deliver advanced technical support, maintenance, and logistical assistance for production and test systems. Your role falls under the Database Engineering function, where you will be accountable for maintaining databases across various company platforms and computing environments. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations and providing support for enterprise databases, configuring complex databases, interfaces, and production environments, collaborating with application developers to create innovative programs, overseeing production application systems, information warehouse, and business intelligence systems, and handling tasks such as installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, partitioning strategies, and automation techniques. Furthermore, you will be in charge of managing user security and access to databases to ensure a controlled environment, investigating, reviewing, and testing patches and bug fixes, coaching others to enhance their knowledge and expertise within the function, and applying advanced knowledge to develop new methods for achieving individual and department objectives effectively. Your role will require you to lead by example, embody CBRE RISE values, anticipate potential objections, and persuade stakeholders, often at senior levels, to consider different perspectives. You will have a significant impact on customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams, contributing to the development of new products, processes, standards, and operational plans to support functional goals. To excel in this role, you should ideally possess a Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience. However, a combination of experience and education will also be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred certifications include Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Database Administrator, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator. You should have advanced knowledge to explore and implement new methods for achieving objectives, expertise in your job discipline, an innovative mindset to devise solutions beyond existing ones, and the ability to solve unique problems with a broad impact on the business. Moreover, proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Strong organizational skills, coupled with an inquisitive mindset, will be beneficial in this role within the Corporate Segment service line.,
