Additionally, you should have extensive expertise in microcontroller programming (STM32x, NRF5xx, Ti CCx), real-time operating systems (RTOS), knowledge of serial interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, real-time control algorithms, data processing, and performance optimization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate effectively in global teams, along with strong debugging skills from application to hardware. Preferred skills and behaviors include experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, QP/C, and/or Zephyr) on low-power chipsets, power management within microcontroller environments, and familiarity with USB protocol, Bluetooth, or any wireless protocol. Required Expertise: USB Protocol Knowledge: Strong understanding of USB 2.0, USB 3.x, USB4, and Type-C specifications. Familiarity with USB enumeration, class drivers (UVC, HID, MSC, CDC), and transfer types (Control, Bulk, Interrupt, Isochronous). Operating Systems and Tools: Hands-on experience testing USB features on Windows, Linux, and Android platforms. Proficiency in using USB protocol analyzers and tools like Ellisys, TotalPhase, Lecroy . Familiarity with Linux debug tools (dmesg, lsusb, usbmon) and Windows Device Manager/Event Viewer. Scripting and Automation: Experience writing automation scripts in Python, Perl, Bash, or Shell . Familiarity with test automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot Framework, Jenkins CI). Debug and Test Tools: Experience with hardware debuggers, logic analyzers, and bus monitors. Use of Git, Jira, TestRail, or equivalent tools for test management and tracking. Engaging in Test planning, Test environment coding at both unit and system levels, Test case coding, and debugging. Coding and analyzing functional coverage and meeting quality metric goals. What You'll Need: BS/BE in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience in IP core and/or SOC verification. Proficiency in developing HVL-based test environments and implementing test plans. Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulators such as VCS, NC, and MTI, and relevant debugging tools. Strong understanding of verification methodologies like UVM/VMM/OVM. Familiarity with Verilog and scripting languages such as Perl. Basic understanding of functional and code coverage. Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
