The ideal candidate will have expertise in both individual and business tax filings, as well as experience in entity formation and state compliance. Conduct detailed tax research and provide expert advice on complex tax matters affecting both individuals and businesses. Serve as a primary contact for high-value or complex client accounts, ensuring timely and compliant filings. Respond to IRS and state notices, represent clients when necessary, and facilitate quick and compliant resolutions. Stay current with federal and state tax laws and proactively implement updates across the team. Create and refine processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training to tax team members. Manage workflow and ensure quality output during high-volume tax seasons, including night shifts when required. Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of recent experience in U.S. tax preparation, including both individual and business returns. Proven experience with business tax filings (1120, 1120S, 1065) and preparation of accompanying schedules and forms. Hands-on experience with business entity formation and state registrations (e.g., Articles of Organization, EIN applications, state sales tax IDs). Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work night shifts during U.S. tax season from the office. Benefits: Flexible remote work opportunities during the off-season. Performance-based incentives and advancement opportunities. Supportive leadership culture with autonomy and growth potential. Paid training and continuous professional development.
