Urgently required Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a solid foundation in both civil construction and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cost control, estimation, and project coordination, with the ability to manage day-to-day QS activities under supervision and contribute to the smooth financial operation of construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for civil and interior works. Interpret drawings, specifications, and site requirements to support project cost planning. Support the monitoring of budgets and project cost tracking. Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to collect quotations and assist in work order preparation. Conduct regular site visits for quantity take-offs and bill verifications. Help in preparing cost reports, interim valuations, and contractor bills. Liaise with site teams and report key metrics to senior QS or Project Manager. Participate in the administration of contracts and processing of variations. Ensure accurate documentation and filing of QS-related data and reports. Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards on-site. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory). Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in quantity surveying (civil and interiors). Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS tools/software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar). Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and market rates. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Good communication and team coordination abilities. Ability to work on multiple tasks under guidance and meet deadlines. Preferred Attributes: Experience working on both residential and commercial projects. Knowledge of local construction codes, safety regulations, and contract documentation.
