Roles and Responsibilities Were looking for someone with a warm personality and a passion for travel and storytelling. At Unventured, a tour is less about giving out statistical information, and more about a storytelling experience with a local friend. As part of the team, you will be guiding travellers through Bengaluru and Mysuru. Some of the must-have Core/Key skills are Engaging Ability to hold the attention of your guests/travellers without being repetitive. Share information through illuminating and entertaining ways, rather than repeating a list of facts and instructions. Patient Answering questions youve already answered multiple times, you will show both competence and enthusiasm, to help your guest come to a satisfying conclusion to the question they had in mind. Empathetic Feel the Room Your radar is always on to feel the room. You should be able to put people at ease, reassuring them that they are in good hands and that they should try to have the best time possible. Good Sense of Humour A guide with a good sense of humour will increase the enjoyment of the tour and temper any tensions that may arise. Energetic Long days, large groups, physical activity, and nearly daily crisis management require a great deal of energy, both mental and physical. Timely Punctuality is a must-have quality. If you are not on time, that makes for unhappy travellers and frustrated co-guides. Organised The experience should feel seamless and effortless. Logistics should be nearly invisible to the eyes of the participants. Keen interest in History and Culture continuously learn about his/her destination. Look out for new experiences and share them with the team. Knowledge of the local language (Kannada/Hindi) An acute sense of direction Work Experience Prior work experience in the hospitality industry is preferred and not a must.

Enquiries and Operations Executive

We are looking for a self-motivated, high performing enquiries executive to help us meet our customer service needs. As a enquiries executive based in Bengaluru you will be the first in line to interact with all prospecting customers and you will be advising them on the tours and experiences offered by Unventured. You will play an active role in ensuring the customers needs are understood, and translated into well curated itineraries with the help of the operations manager. You will also be required to ensure conversions and helping the guest prepare for the tour and guiding the on ground tour leaders to ensure a memorable tour and experience for the guest. The ideal candidate should be based out of Bengaluru and must be passionate about experiential travel. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for managing 3 functions as a Enquiries and Operations Executive. 1. Enquiry management a. Respond to customer queries via email, whats app and calls b. Prompt follow-ups at a committed time with travellers. c. Ensuring timely communication with customers about the tour d. Providing up-to date advice on travel regulations including visa and medical requirements, baggage limits, safety and local customs 2. Sales Conversions a. Tracking every enquiry and ensuring each lead is converted b. Understanding client specifications and suggesting suitable tours. c. Ensure timely follow-ups with enquiries and converting customers d. Researching destinations and keeping up to date with travel industry news. e. Submit a monthly enquiry conversion report based on geography and source as per guidelines set by the organisation f. Supporting customers with last minute on tour requests 3. Operations and Customer Experience a. Preparing customised itineraries to suit the clients preferences and budget b. Guiding customers through the booking procedure. c. Coordinating with internal operations to ensure the clients needs are met d. Liaising with City Tour Managers and Operations managers and ensuring tours are efficiently conducted e. Handover and transition to Tour Leader Key skills Youll need to have: Proficient in conversing in English and at least 2-3 other Indian languages Experience in sales and customer service Competent skills in Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and create budget sheets Strong organizational skills Diplomacy and tact Sound judgement with attention to detail A genuine interest in active experiential travel Curiosity to learn and keep up to date with travel industry events Work Experience: Prior work experience in a customer service environtment that includes a component of sales. Relevant experience in hospitality is an added advantage. Specific functional experience, call center or customer service is preferred.

City Tour Manager

We are looking for a self-motivated, high performing city tour sales manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. As a city tour manager for Bengaluru your profile will entail designing and implementing strategic sales plans that expands the customer base for city tours. Achieving growth and hitting sales targets on mutually agreed and achievable numbers. You will be managing a set of passionate freelance storytellers, build quarterly engagement and learning programs with Industry professionals. The ideal candidate should be based out of Bengaluru and must be passionate about active experiential travel. Roles and Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing 3 functions of City Tours with the Operations manager. 1. Sales a. Promote and market the offering, approaching new or niche markets b. Liaise with travel partners, including travel agents, corporates and hotels c. Provide sales reports to management d. Explore alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business e. Deal with bespoke customer enquiries and aim to meet their expectations 2. Operations a. Recruit, train and engage with a team of freelance Travel Story-tellers b. Own city tour budgets for profitability and accuracy of tour pricing c. Build a good relationship with vendors and ensure they are aligned to the Unventured Experience d. Oversee the smooth, efficient running of tours (with help from Enquiries and Operations teams) 3. Product Development a. Manage city tour products, content and experiences b. Curate seasonal experiences c. Regularly lead city tours (To monitor content and experiences and improvements) Work Experience, Key Skills Salary Key skills: Youll need to have: Competent skills in Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and create budget sheets Strong organizational skills Experience in sales and customer service Effective communication skills Diplomacy and tact Commitment to people management Ability to lead and motivate a team Sound judgement with attention to detail A genuine interest in active experiential travel Experience of cycling would be an added advantage Work Experience: Prior work experience in a sales environment. Relevant management experience in other areas of the leisure or tourism industry, such as hotels or airlines, is likely to increase your chances. Specific functional experience, perhaps in a marketing, sales, retail or IT role, is also helpful.
