Unreal Lighting Artist

**Job Description:** You will be responsible for driving the lighting pipeline for high-quality real-time and offline renders. Your key responsibilities will include: - Setting up and optimizing lighting in Unreal Engine for cinematic and production-quality output. - Collaborating across departments (modeling, grooming, FX, animation, compositing) to ensure smooth pipeline integration. - Implementing and troubleshooting hair/fur simulation in Unreal using Groom system, Alembic caches, or other workflows. - Developing and maintaining technical lighting/shading workflows that balance quality and performance. - Creating tools, scripts, and blueprints to improve the lighting and rendering workflow inside Unreal. - Acting as a bridge between artists and technical teams, resolving issues quickly. - Mentoring junior lighting and technical artists. **Qualifications Required:** - 4+ years of experience in lighting for animation, film, or real-time projects. - Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced lighting work in Unreal Engine. - Deep understanding of the full 3D production pipeline. - Proven experience in hair/fur simulation workflows (XGen, Houdini Groom, Ornatrix, or Unreal Groom). - Technical knowledge of Unreal Engine's rendering pipeline (Lumen, Nanite, Sequencer, Groom system). - Proficiency in industry-standard DCC tools such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, Katana, etc. - Strong understanding of PBR shading, materials, and lookdev. - Experience with scripting/Blueprints (Python, MEL, Unreal Blueprints). - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot performance and rendering issues. In addition to the above requirements, the following qualifications would be considered a plus: - Experience with pipeline/tool development in Unreal. - Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git). - Supervisory or team leadership experience.,
