Unreal Engine VR Developer

We are seeking an experienced Unreal Engine VR Developer to become a valuable part of our team and contribute to the development of top-notch, engaging VR experiences. If you possess a solid foundation in VR development, Unreal Engine (Blueprints/C++), and 3D optimization, we are eager to have you on board! You will be responsible for various tasks, including but not limited to: - Crafting VR applications using Unreal Engine 5 for a detailed high-poly 3D model consisting of 1.5 million triangles. - Incorporating VR interactions, animations, and real-time rendering into the projects. - Ensuring the optimization of 3D assets for optimal performance without compromising visual quality. - Integrating VR hand tracking and physics-based interactions seamlessly. - Deploying the final project as an APK for standalone VR headsets such as Oculus Quest and Pico. To excel in this role, we anticipate the following from you: - Demonstrated expertise of four to seven years in Unreal Engine (Blueprints & C++). - Proficiency in VR development, XR interactivity, and optimization strategies. - Familiarity with 3D optimization techniques including LOD, Nanite, and mesh reduction. - Capability to integrate animations created in Blender into Unreal Engine. - Previous experience in performance profiling and debugging VR applications. - Mandatory possession of a VR headset (Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, or Pico) for testing purposes. Desirable skills that would be advantageous for the role include: - Prior exposure to WebXR and AR interactions. - Knowledge of substance materials and real-time lighting optimizations. Location for this position is remote (Freelance/Contract) with compensation being commensurate with experience.
