Tool Design Manager – Rail Coach Interior Components Manufacturing Job Description 1. Tool Design & Development Lead the design and development of tools for rail coach interior components manufacturing. Coordinate closely with Design, Production, NPD, and Quality teams to develop new tools based on product and process requirements. Review, approve, and validate tool design drawings, 3D models, and material selection. Ensure all tools are designed for manufacturability, durability, ease of maintenance, and safety. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in tool design to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times. 2. Tool & Die Manufacturing (Tool Making) Oversee end-to-end tool-making activities including dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, gauges, and checking fixtures. Ensure manufacturing accuracy, adherence to tight tolerances, and compliance with quality standards. Monitor and optimize tool manufacturing timelines and costs without compromising quality. Ensure timely availability of dies, jigs, fixtures, and tools for production and die-casting operations. Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance for all tools.
