The Account Assistant is responsible for providing support to the accounting department by managing petty cash, processing sales transactions, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Petty Cash Management: Maintain and reconcile petty cash transactions. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of petty cash expenditures. Replenish petty cash as needed and ensure compliance with company policies. Prepare petty cash reports and submit them to the accounting supervisor. Sales Support: Process sales transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and sales receipts. Assist with invoicing and ensure timely and accurate billing to clients. Handle customer inquiries related to sales and payment issues. Maintain and update sales records and ensure data accuracy. Accounting and Administrative Tasks: Assist with data entry for accounts payable and receivable. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain organized and accurate financial records. Assist with preparing financial reports and documentation as needed. Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, scanning, and photocopying documents. Compliance and Controls: Adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures to prevent fraud and errors. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Additional Duties: Perform other accounting-related tasks and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor. Assist with audits and internal reviews as needed.
