Job Title: Finance Controller Location: Andheri, Mumbai (On-site) Reports to: Managing Director / Executive Director Type: Full-time Role Overview Unitec Fibres is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Controller to oversee and strengthen its finance and accounting function during a phase of aggressive capacity expansion and operational scaling. The role will be pivotal in establishing financial discipline, managing statutory compliance, leading cost control, improving systems (including SAP B1 rollout), and preparing the company for structured institutional investment and potential listing. This is a critical leadership position requiring strong command over operational finance, accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting. The Finance Controller will also support investor relations, MIS, debt servicing, audit, and ESG-linked reporting in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Reporting Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, reconciliations, and statutory payments. Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP and applicable laws. Own the Trial Balance, Ledger Cleanups, and Balance Sheet schedules. Compliance & Controls Ensure 100% compliance with statutory filings including GST, TDS, ROC, ESIC, PF, etc. Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants to close audits on time. Strengthen internal controls, implement SOPs, and oversee adherence to procurement and payment policies. Costing & Inventory Oversee costing for raw materials (e.g., PET bottles), finished goods (PSF), and WIP across plants. Implement periodic inventory valuation checks, standard costing, and variance analysis. Review plant-wise costing reports and work closely with factory teams. Working Capital & Banking Monitor working capital cycles including customer collections, vendor payments, and inventory days. Prepare cash flow forecasts and fund utilization reports. Coordinate with lenders for term loans, WCDL, and working capital facilities. Support repayment planning and covenant compliance. MIS & Decision Support Lead the preparation of management dashboards and investor MIS packs. Track financial KPIs across business units and enable data-driven decisions. Highlight risks, deviations, and opportunities in monthly reviews. Systems & Digital Finance Support implementation and optimization of SAP Business One, especially financial modules. Build systems for improved documentation, process visibility, and real-time reporting. Strategic Projects Partner with leadership on capital expenditure monitoring and financial impact of expansion. Provide support on ESG-linked reporting (via consultant) and long-term fundraising initiatives. Assist in preparing materials for Board, investor, and lender presentations. You are expected to review this structure and propose optimizations in team roles, capacity, and systems over time. Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience. Experience in manufacturing, textiles, or chemical sectors strongly preferred. Prior exposure to SAP B1 or similar ERP systems is essential. Strong grasp of compliance, taxation, costing, internal audits, and banking. Ability to work in a lean, high-growth, owner-driven environment. Strong leadership, communication, and process mindset. Compensation Expected CTC: ₹18–24 LPA depending on experience and fit.
