Job Title: Head HR Compliance & Legal Department:Human Resource & Legal Location: Kerala, Thrissur CTC: 40- 50 LPA Education: LLB/LLM (preferably with HR certification or MBA in HR) *Position Overview* The Head HR Compliance & Legal will ensure adherence to statutory labour laws, corporate governance, and internal HR policies while providing strategic legal support for people-related matters. This leadership role safeguards the organisations reputation, drives ethical practices, and fosters a compliant, transparent culture. *Key Responsibilities* * Review, update, and align company policies with latest regulations, labour laws, workplace safety norms, and wage acts. * Ensure all employment practices comply with statutory requirements. * Monitor HR operations for compliance; conduct internal audits to assess risk and adherence levels. * Guide HR and management teams on compliance and legal matters. * Design and deliver compliance training programs across the organisation. * Report compliance status and risks to management/board. * Investigate and address legal complaints or policy violations. * Stay updated on labour laws, employment regulations, and other applicable legislation to ensure zero non-compliance. * Provide legal counsel on contracts, policies, disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee relations. * Handle employment-related disputes, arbitrations, and coordinate with external counsel when required. * Draft, review, and maintain HR policies, handbooks, legal contracts, and agreements. * Maintain accurate legal documentation for audits and statutory requirements. * Identify and mitigate legal risks in HR processes; implement preventive measures. * Oversee compliance with the POSH Act and promote a safe, inclusive workplace. * Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into HR strategies. *Qualifications & Experience* * LLB/LLM with 12-15 years in HR compliance, labour law, and legal advisory; minimum 5 years in a leadership role. * Experience in multi-location compliance management and litigation handling.
