Roles and responsibilities : Lead, manage, and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Allocate resources, monitor team performance, and conduct regular reviews. Oversee the preparation and review of complex US tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) for individuals and businesses. Provide US tax advisory services, including tax planning and strategy formulation. Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and address client-specific tax issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with US-based clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, coordinating with US offices as needed. Implement best practices and drive process improvements within the tax team. Identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency. Mitigate tax risks by ensuring adherence to IRS and international tax regulations. Review tax filings to ensure compliance and accuracy. Competency Skills: Minimum 10 years of US tax experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a tax team. Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, Enrolled Agent (EA) certification. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, GoSystem) Strong knowledge of US tax laws (individual and business tax), including IRS regulations and state taxation. Familiarity with tax research tools (CCH, RIA Checkpoint) is advantageous. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
