Job Summary: The Water Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of various water treatment units including Ultrafiltration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Demineralization (DM) Plant, Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU), and Drinking Water Plant . The role ensures compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Fire (HSEF) standards and statutory regulations, while also driving process optimization through data analysis and close coordination with maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Operate and monitor UF, RO, DM, CPU, and Drinking Water systems to ensure optimal performance. Maintain water quality parameters as per process and statutory requirements. Conduct routine inspections and log operational data for all water treatment units. Manage chemical dosing systems and monitor inventory levels. Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to HSEF guidelines and environmental regulations. Participate in safety drills, audits, and risk assessments. Maintain documentation for statutory compliance and internal audits. Process Optimization & Data Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance plant efficiency and reduce downtime. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance and water quality. Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Report equipment malfunctions and assist in troubleshooting. Ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance shutdowns. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports. Support internal and external audits with required documentation and data. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related engineering discipline. Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in operating water treatment plants (UF, RO, DM, CPU). Key Skills: Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment. Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems and instrumentation. Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel or data analysis tools. Good communication and teamwork skills. Awareness of environmental and safety regulations.
