As a Controller at our global, regulated, and public financial institution, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the firm meets all financial control and reporting obligations. Your responsibilities will involve measuring the profitability and risks associated with various aspects of the firm's business, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations governing financial market transactions. Working within the Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) Controllers team, which is part of the broader Controller Division, you will be responsible for managing the firm's liquidity, capital, and risk. Your expertise will contribute to the accuracy of financial and regulatory information, internal and external financial reporting, and business planning decisions related to capital allocation and balance sheet management. Key responsibilities include preparing daily profit and loss accounts, conducting independent valuation reviews for less liquid assets, participating in strategic initiatives to improve processes, preparing monthly accounts, and interacting proactively with the business to solve accounting issues. You will also be involved in analyzing investments on the daily balance sheet, ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements, and facilitating audits for funds and holding entities. To excel in this role, you should be a Qualified CA/CFA with up to 7 years of experience, possessing knowledge of valuation techniques for Private Equity. An intellectual curiosity and interest in financial markets/products, strong analytical skills, and the ability to improve processes and add value to clients/stakeholders are essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key attributes for success in this position.
