The candidate will be part of the Engineering R&D team responsible for developing the next generation Friction Welding and Test Rigs. Your role will require a strong knowledge of engineering design principles. You should possess an in-depth understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and a strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in applicable engineering tools and systems. Prior hands-on experience in Machine Design, particularly in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), is essential for this position. Additionally, you should have awareness of GD&T, the ability to perform calculations, and a strong problem-solving attitude. You must be capable of working independently on designing systems/sub-systems and interpreting Finite Element Analysis results. Analyzing technical papers and standards such as EN14363, UIC518, US CFR49, and ensuring that designs conform to them will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Good time management skills, high motivation, and a proactive approach are required traits for this role. You should also possess excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
