The Art Director is responsible for leading and managing the visual direction of creative projects, ensuring high-quality design and a cohesive visual brand identity. You will work closely with creative teams, including designers, photographers, copywriters, and project managers, to bring concepts to life across a variety of media. Balancing creativity with strategic thinking, you will align visual elements with brand messaging, target audience, and project goals. Your main responsibilities will include: - Conceptualization and Vision: Developing and articulating creative concepts that align with brand vision and client objectives. - Team Leadership: Managing and inspiring a team of designers, illustrators, and other creatives, providing guidance and feedback to maintain consistency and quality across projects. - Project Collaboration: Working closely with copywriters, marketers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all creative outputs meet brand standards and project goals. - Visual Direction: Overseeing all visual aspects of a project, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across mediums, such as print, digital, and social media. - Creative Storytelling: Crafting engaging narratives through video editing, incorporating compelling pacing, transitions, and effects that align with the project's vision and target audience. - Technical Expertise: Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects,) with a strong understanding of color grading, audio synchronization, and file formats. - Brand Identity Development: Defining and enforcing brand guidelines, ensuring all creative assets adhere to established visual standards. - Resource and Budget Management: Coordinating resources, managing budgets, and tracking project timelines to ensure efficient and timely project delivery. - Creative Problem-Solving: Addressing and resolving any design challenges that may arise during the project, always aiming for innovative solutions that enhance the end product. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple portfolios, motivating and leading managers to perform their best, and engaging in Business Development activities as required. Budgeting, workflow management, Design QC, and process setting experience are essential, and design automation/UI expertise would be an added advantage. You will also be expected to develop insightful, visually compelling dashboards and presentations leveraging existing data sets, collaborate with other teams within the organization to meet reporting requirements, and convey messages in a clear and concise manner supported by strong visual aids. The ideal candidate for this role will have 12+ years of relevant experience in graphic design and visual aids, with knowledge of Banking/Global Business Services domain being beneficial. Experience in running and managing large creative/design initiatives/teams, excellent communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management skills, and project management skills are required. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field, along with 5 to 8 years of experience in a creative or art direction role. Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, and familiarity with motion graphics or interactive design are desirable. Leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design principles is also necessary.
