As a UAV Systems Intern at our Bangalore location, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of UAV systems. Your responsibilities will include working with Pixhawk-based hardware platforms, integrating various UAV components, and configuring Ground Control Station (GCS) tools like Mission Planner and QGroundControl (QGCS). Additionally, you will be involved in PID tuning, parameter optimization, and collaborating on UAV system simulations using software tools and ROS2 frameworks. Communication between UAV components using UART and I2C protocols will also be part of your tasks. It is essential that you document processes, findings, and contribute to building a knowledge repository. To excel in this role, you should have a basic understanding of UAV operations, components, and functionality. Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART and I2C, familiarity with Pixhawk-based hardware and associated peripherals, and hands-on experience with GCS tools like Mission Planner and QGCS are required. Foundational knowledge of UAV parameters, PID tuning, and calibration processes is essential, along with exposure to simulation software and ROS2 for UAV development. A portfolio showcasing relevant projects and achievements is preferred. This is a 3-month paid internship where you will assist in UAV system design, integration, and testing, work on flight control, navigation, and communication systems, troubleshoot and optimize drone performance, and collaborate with senior engineers on R&D projects. We are looking for individuals with knowledge of aerodynamics, electronics, and embedded systems, experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and PX4 would be a plus. You are a Data Collection Specialist with expertise in LiDAR technology, Python programming, and hands-on field experience. Your main responsibility is to collect, process, and analyze geospatial data to ensure high-quality deliverables for various projects. This role involves technical fieldwork, data handling, and programming primarily in Python to facilitate accurate data capture and analysis. You will operate LiDAR equipment and sensors in the field for accurate geospatial data collection. Additionally, you will set up, test, and maintain equipment such as UAVs, LiDAR scanners, and GPS units to ensure proper operation for data collection tasks. Post-processing raw LiDAR data and integrating it into GIS systems is also part of your responsibilities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. You will develop and utilize Python scripts to automate data processing tasks, enhance workflows, and perform data quality checks. Collaborating with teams of geospatial engineers, surveyors, and field technicians to collect data from multiple project sites is essential. You will prepare reports and maintain documentation for all data collection activities to ensure transparency and traceability. Monitoring the quality and completeness of data collected, troubleshooting any equipment or software issues in real-time, adhering to field safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project guidelines are crucial aspects of the role. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Engineering, Surveying, or a related field, along with 2+ years of experience with LiDAR systems, data collection, and processing. Proficiency in Python programming for data processing and automation, experience in field technician duties, and familiarity with LiDAR data collection and post-processing software are required. Strong knowledge of Python and geospatial libraries, understanding of GIS systems and tools, and soft skills such as attention to detail, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. LiDAR Technician Certification, Python Programming Certification, and UAV Pilot Certification are preferred but not required. This position involves frequent travel to project sites, including outdoor environments and various weather conditions. Fieldwork may require physical activity, including lifting and carrying technical equipment.
