Job Title: Engineer / Sr. Engineer Mechanical Design Experience: 6 - 10 Years in Heat Exchanger / Pressure Vessel Design Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu Job Type: Contract (Full-time) Job Scope:- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing products that meet customer specifications while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards. Key Responsibilities:- Review customer specifications, identify deviations, and coordinate clarifications. Design equipment as per the scope of the purchase order and applicable specifications. Prepare and submit design calculation sheets for client approval. Develop equipment data sheets and respond to client queries. Conduct mechanical calculations for Pressure Vessels (ASME Section VIII Div. 1) and Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers (ASME & TEMA). Prepare technical specifications for raw material procurement. Communicate design changes affecting materials to the purchase department. Ensure all design documents comply with ISO standards. Obtain approvals for U-Stamp design calculations from the Authorized Inspector (AI). Perform structural calculations considering wind and seismic data. Qualification & Skills Required:- Education: BE in Mechanical Engineering Experience: 6 - 10 years in Heat Exchanger/Pressure Vessel Design (preferably in a U-Stamp approved manufacturer or reputed EPC company) Technical Expertise: Mechanical calculations for Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers as per ASME & TEMA standards Structural calculations for equipment support Knowledge of PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and ASME material specifications Good engineering practices. Software Skills: AutoCAD, PV Elite, MS Office Thermal design software (HTRI / ASPEN) desirable Soft Skills: Strong English communication (written & spoken) Benefits: Competitive salary & benefits package including health & retirement plans Professional development, training & career advancement opportunities.
