A minimum of 10 years in TBM tunneling. Completed at least 2 projects as Project In Charge or one level lower. 1. TBM Specialization: Direct participation in at least 2 TBM technology projects. Familiarity with Non- EPB Shielded Rock TBM. Completed at least 1 project featuring a finished inner diameter of 7. 7.0m or larger. 1. Project Leadership: Manage TBM tunneling projects from start to finish. Provide strategic direction, ensuring project goals are achieved on time and within budget. 1. TBM Tunnel Expertise: Exhibit extensive knowledge of TBM tunneling techniques and methodologies. Oversee TBM technology application throughout the project lifecycle. 1. Project Planning and Execution: Create project plans, schedules, and budgets in conjunction with relevant stakeholders. Efficiently execute projects while maintaining quality standards and safety regulations. 1. Team Management: Assemble and lead a project team, promoting collaboration and a positive work atmosphere. Mentor project staff, supporting their professional growth. 1. Client Communication: Act as the main liaison between the project team and clients. Update clients on project progress, address any concerns, and ensure their satisfaction. 1. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges during project execution and devise mitigation strategies. Implement risk management protocols to minimize disruptions. 1. Contract Management: Manage contract negotiations and administration, ensuring compliance with obligations. Work together with legal and procurement teams as necessary. 1. Quality Assurance and Control: Establish and monitor quality control measures to ensure high- quality tunneling projects. Perform regular inspections to confirm adherence to specifications. 1. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce safety and environmental protocols at the project site. Implement HSE policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Role & responsibilities Carry out the design and analysis of tunnelling projects, including underground structures, caverns, and associated facilities. Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses to assess ground conditions, rock mechanics, and soil properties for tunnel design and construction. Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for tunnel alignments, cross-sections, support systems, and lining structures. Utilize advanced engineering software and modelling tools for geotechnical and structural analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) and numerical modelling. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, architects, and contractors, to optimize tunnel designs and construction methodologies. Perform risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to geotechnical hazards, ground stability, and geological uncertainties in tunnelling projects. Coordinate with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits for tunnelling projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Conduct field visits and site inspections to monitor construction progress, assess site conditions, and address any design-related issues or modifications. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in tunnel engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering & M. Tech Structures (Civil) / M. Tech in Geotechnical Engineering / M. Tech in Tunnel Engineering Preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with a focus on geotechnical design and analysis. Tunnels in urban setting is preferred (Road/Rail/Sewage etc) Strong understanding in geotechnical engineering principles, including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and ground improvement techniques. Proficiency in structural engineering concepts and analysis, with experience in designing tunnel support systems, linings, and underground structures. Solid understanding of engineering software such as PLAXIS, FLAC, MIDAS GTS, SAP2000, or similar tools for geotechnical and structural analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges in tunnelling projects. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
