Role & responsibilities To perform experiments and process safety testings at R&D process safety lab, to support compiling data and to ensure adherence to laboratory safety and housekeeping best practices. Responsible for generating process safety information both qualitative and quantitative using literature data and instrument. Proposing the process safety studies required during development and optimization stage. Handling of instrument like DSC, TSU, ARSST, ARC & RC1e The process safety experiments performance should achieve higher professional standards. Maintaining consumables & Spares for the instruments. Gather preliminary safety data and preparation of CSI & PSI forms. Interpretation of Dust/Powder safety data generated from third party labs. Understanding the Chemical reaction Hazard screening shared by Process Development team after it is reviewed by process safety in charge and ensure safe handling and operation. Utmost care should be taken to maintain required overall safety in lab specially while handling different chemicals, raw materials, intermediates, products, residues wastes etc. instruments, manipulation of chemicals Understands and can execute defined instrument maintenance & basic troubleshooting procedures Set and maintain high safety standards in the work environment. Adherence to all Environment, Health & Safety requirements always in the workplace with 100% compliance Ensure communication of incidents (or near-misses) and learning from those to ensure such an incident is not repeated/does not happen Ensure adherence to all policies related to safety with 100% compliance Ensure all the respective standards applicable to you are being meticulously followed Responsible for maintaining high house-keeping standards of process safety lab. Acquire and develop skills, behaviours and experiences, as a key member of the Process safety Efficiently conducts experiments/tests using established test methods to produce high quality & precision of data and results Preferred candidate profile BE/B. Tech (Chemical) /Dual degree in Chemistry & Chemical Engineering Eg: BITS MSc dual course/ BE/B.Tech (Chemical) Hands on experience in operation of DSC, TSU, ARC, ARSST & RC1e

Job Objective : Good knowledge in Basic & Detailed engineering and Skilled in Technology transfer to understand lab batch observation and execute at plant / pilot scale. Technical / Functional 1) Scaling yup new products with process optimization from pilot scale which involves lab studies and validate plant batches. 2) To understand the inherent risk of manufacturing process, quality and yield impact of new process and to meet critical operating ranges as per requirements. 3) To prepare technology transfer report along with cross functional team and highlighting the requirements to execute the plan. 4) To prepare capacity utilization of all products each quarter as per marketing projection and understand bottleneck facility and execute action plan to de-bottleneck after all departments approval. 5) Planning of all products along with new CMS and intermediate products without any disturbances/lags and execute plan with 100% equipment utilization. 6) Looking after investigations with active participation in lab studies and also be part of CAPA proposal team. 7) To look after process optimization in yield and quality while trouble shooting in commercial scale. 8) Looking after solvent recovery improvements and implementing new techniques. 9) To perform both basic and detailed engineering as per the process requirements. 10) To take lead role while performing HAZOP and Risk Assessment for all newly transferred product to execute along with cross functional team. 11) To look after products timely deliveries from Raw material source and interacting with purchase to make plant under full utilization. 12) Coordination with R&D and support (Technical, pricing of RM) for completion of new product proposal/RFP. 13) New CMS and Intermediate products technical detailing will be done and will act as single point contract between R&D and plant. Based on requirement necessary follow up will be done with CFT team members (QA, QC, Purchase, Maintenance, Production and R&D) to ensure that project will complete and deliver within timeline.

Good knowledge in Basic & Detailed engineering and Skilled in Technology transfer to understand lab batch observation and execute at plant / pilot scale. Technical / Functional 1) Observing the batches in R&D and collect the required technical observations which will be helpful for scale-up of new products during first time execution in plant. 2) To plan and execute new products and provide necessary process engineering inputs for scaling up of lab process to pilot and plant scale with efficient collaboration between the cross functional departments. 3) Participation in pilot plant operations and studies for scale-up at plant level, execution and monitoring of trial and validation batches in coordination with manufacturing team. 4) Selecting the operating methods, facility requirements, equipment for effective scale-up and troubleshooting in process scale-up activities. 5) Preparing the PFD, P&ID, Volume Calculations, Time Cycle, HAZOP, Pre-Validation &Validation Report, Deviation/Incident/OOS/OOT reports. 6) Reviewing data of powder safety test for Technology Transfer of Intermediate / API and review of TSU, RC, DSC data for evaluating the thermal hazards of process. 7) Keeping track on availability of all raw materials required for trial, validation and Developmental batches 8) Interacting with vendors for equipment with new technology evaluation and implementation in existing production facility to improve the product / plant systems. 9) Willing to work in shifts if required.

Role & responsibilities 1. Candidate should be M.Sc. Chemistry or B.E. Chemical. 2. Candidate should have 2-3 years of Testing Laboratory experience or R&D 3. Must be aware about of Thermal Stability Testing Instrument like TSU, ARC, DSC and RC1e 4. Awareness of Powder Safety Testing and information regarding technique. 5. Should be able to do documentation related with compliance.
