You are an experienced Engineer specializing in Brakes systems, seeking to contribute to the sustainable transportation solutions of the future. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and executing Brakes system activities, overseeing component, system, and sub-module delivery, and ensuring operational efficiency across cross-functional teams. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the development from research phases to product maintenance, ensuring the fulfilment of business targets and quality standards. As an integral part of the Group Trucks Technology team at Volvo Group, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to engineer next-gen technologies and innovative solutions. Your role will involve managing networking across the organization, influencing work in different sites, and developing modular systems to optimize part diversity. Your ability to analyze and solve complex problems, work with global suppliers, and demonstrate a multicultural mindset will be essential in this position. To qualify for this role, you should hold a BE/ BTech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of automotive experience, preferably in the truck industry. Proficiency in Creo and PDM tools, knowledge of Drum Brakes design and development, familiarity with complete Braking Systems and Pneumatics, and an understanding of DFMEA/SFMEA and quality tools are required. Strong communication skills, project management experience, and a multicultural approach are highly valued.
