The Digital Software Engineer Senior Analyst role at Citigroup is a position requiring deep disciplinary knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of new techniques and process enhancements within the digital software engineering function. As a seasoned professional, you are expected to integrate subject matter expertise and industry knowledge to evaluate complex issues and contribute to the overall business objectives effectively. Your role involves assuming informal/formal leadership responsibilities within teams, coaching and training new recruits, and influencing decisions that have a significant impact on project outcomes. Responsibilities: - Execute and drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts, serving as a lead on medium-scale projects and supporting larger initiatives. - Provide subject-specific expertise in application programming principles, influencing the design and development of applications significantly. - Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance, and design challenges, researching root causes and resolving defects. - Deep understanding of technical requirements for solutions, including information modeling, data structures, algorithms, and system maintenance characteristics. - Collaborate with industry vendors to support digital architecture, implementation plans, and identify partnership opportunities for enhanced development velocity. - Participate in the full development life cycle, impacting strategic functional decisions, communicating progress, managing escalations, and identifying and mitigating issues and risks. - Optimize processes across teams, review metrics, assess development processes, and work towards concurrent project delivery improvement. - Share knowledge with the team, stay abreast of industry certifications, and assess risk in business decisions to ensure compliance and safeguarding of assets. Qualifications: - Development experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market environment, including test automation, scripting, and reporting tools. - Project management experience preferred with 8-10 years in an automation development environment. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, data-driven, results-oriented, and experienced in agile methodology and large culture change. - Proficient in leading infrastructure programs, working with third-party service providers, and possessing excellent written and oral communication skills. Education: - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
