Role & responsibilities : Lead operations of the Aluminium HPDC plant for automotive components, ensuring world-class manufacturing practices, customer satisfaction, and alignment with OEM and Tier-1 standards. Responsible for end-to-end plant performance in terms of quality, productivity, delivery, safety, and cost. Oversee die casting, post-casting operations like trimming, deburring, shot blasting, machining, and final inspection. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM best practices. Ensure full compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific quality standards e.g., VDA 6.3. Drive PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC documentation and processes. Lead internal and external audits, including those from automotive OEMs and Tier-1 customers. Cost & Efficiency Optimization; Compliance & Safety; people develop across manufacturing functions. Preferred candidate profile Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering. MBA/PGDM in Operations is an advantage. Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing. Minimum 5 years in Aluminium HPDC operations for automotive applications. Proven leadership in managing production for automotive components like transmission housings, engine blocks, brackets, etc.
