Manager Grade EXTERNAL Dept/SBU IAP_VPE_ Advance GA Process Engineering Location CHENNAI-1 SEZ- CHENNAI Organization Relationships Reports to DGM - IAP _VPE_ Advance GA Process Engineering Supervises Co-ordinates with: NA COUNTERPARTS Internal TCF, Product Engineering, IE , PFMEA/ Control plan, Digital system support External Purpose of the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Feasibility Study & Design to Manufacture (D2M) Engineer to support the digital phase of vehicle process engineering. This role is pivotal in ensuring product designs are robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective while aligning with digital transformation initiatives. The candidate will act as a bridge between product development, manufacturing, and digital engineering teams to validate and optimize design feasibility during early vehicle development phases. Job Responsibilities Conduct feasibility studies during concept and early development phases of vehicle programs using digital tools (CAD/CAE). Evaluate product designs for manufacturing compatibility, assembly constraints, tooling feasibility, and ergonomic factors. Drive early-stage digital simulations and virtual build events to identify potential production challenges and improvement opportunities. Collaborate closely with design engineering, manufacturing, and simulation teams to propose DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly) improvements. Develop and implement virtual validation strategies, including digital mock-ups, DMU (Digital Mock-Up), and VR/AR tools where applicable. Prepare and present technical reports, feasibility review documentation, and risk assessments to cross-functional teams. Validate assembly processes and tooling using CATIA/ Team center, Manage and update product and process documentation through Teamcenter (PLM) system Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change requests (ECR) through PFMEA & Control Plan revisions Tool Validation, Collision / Interference validation, Facility validation, Dynamic simulation study Strong in analytics, Excel, Power BI, excel - formula and micro soft office 365 Job Specification Qualification Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering or related field Experience 3 ~ 5 Years Competencies a) Technical With good assembly TCF knowledge. Proficient in CAD software CATIA, Enovia, PLM). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes general assembly (TCF Shop) Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, and GD&T principles Good in logical thinking Knowledge of digital manufacturing tools such as Teamcenter, DELMIA, Process Simulate, or similar. b) Behavioural Good Communication Skills Leadership - to Drive CFT Good analysis Skills Dynamic & self Starter Good Team Player – he can work as CFT to solve Quality issue Should have Problem Solving Skills

Role & responsibilities Key Skills: Trim & Chassis Final Line with Industrial Engineering JOB Description: To perform final assembly Manufacturing feasibility, planning and support program implementation. Advance Manufacturing Engineer works closely with cross functional teams like, Product Design Engineering, Facility, MP&L and Plant Engineering Team to validate Design and assembly feasibility for New Product Launch. Advance ME has to Identify the assembly, Labor, Tooling cost saving opportunities, design communization, complexity reduction, Facility Hard points & Facility re-usability opportunities during the design phase. Create, modify and update program specific process sheets DPA5 Perform checks Raise part/process issues as identified to program Re-perform checks as D&R CAD matures through UNV2 Support in establishing virtual build sequence P-Release Conduct ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required Lead identification, resolution, and closure of Mfg. feasibility issues. Complete design phase Health Chart assessments Write/modify/maintain process sheets (SOW) and deliver updated Cycle Line Layouts. Failure Mode (PFMEA) creation and updates to manage RPN risk. Support Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF) development and sign-off Interface with Design and Release activities. Deliver cycle line layouts and work with the assembly plants to have a complete operator/equipment workstation ready for launch. Develop program cost analysis, tooling design and build SOW Define tooling needs DC and pneumatic tooling Fixtured tooling and lift assists Identify ergo tooling needs Major equipment and / or automation needs Pallets, details, and subassembly build-up conveyance Error proofing Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs. Facilitate cross-functional PFMEA workshops involving design, quality, production, and maintenance teams. Standardize process documentation and support continuous improvement activities using PFMEA learnings and quality feedback loops. Ensure PFMEA linkage to Control Plans and work instructions, Preparing EMP list.
