As a Product Development & Sourcing Executive in the Fashion Apparel Retail industry, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product development process. This includes overseeing the journey of fashion apparel from initial concept to production, ensuring alignment with product and cost requirements. You will play a key role in identifying and sourcing suitable raw materials and trims, working closely with both domestic and international vendors to ensure timely and quality product delivery. Your role will also involve vendor development, where you will be required to evaluate and onboard new vendors based on their capabilities, quality standards, lead time, and pricing. Maintaining healthy vendor relationships will be crucial to ensure reliable sourcing and flexibility in the supply chain. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing follow-ups related to trims and accessories such as labels, tags, and buttons, ensuring their timely approvals, delivery, and inventory to avoid production delays. Collaboration with the Merchandising and Design Teams will be essential as you coordinate closely with them to understand seasonal product requirements and design expectations. Your role will require you to ensure product feasibility from both sourcing and manufacturing perspectives, contributing to the overall success of the product development process. To excel in this role, you should have 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar position within the Fashion Apparel Retail Industry. A strong understanding of the apparel production lifecycle and sourcing processes is essential, along with knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and the vendor landscape. Excellent communication and negotiation skills will be necessary, along with basic computer proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Excel, and Email. The ability to manage multiple product categories and timelines simultaneously will also be a key requirement for this full-time position.
